Why this instrument?

Boosts Confidence and Self-Expression

Singing is one of the most personal forms of musical expression. Studies show that voice training increases self-confidence, body awareness, and emotional regulation through conscious breath and vocal control.

Clift & Hancox, Journal of the Royal Society for the Promotion of Health, 2001

Improves Breathing and Posture

Proper vocal technique requires diaphragmatic breathing and aligned posture. Singers develop respiratory control that benefits overall health, reduces tension, and improves physical presence.

Grape et al., Integrative Physiological and Behavioral Science, 2003

Accessible to Everyone

Your voice is the one instrument you already own. Research confirms that with training, virtually anyone can learn to sing in tune — the idea that you need to be 'born with it' is a myth.

Dalla Bella et al., Cognition, 2007

Frequently asked questions

Can anyone learn to sing?
Yes. Research shows that with proper training, the vast majority of people can learn to sing accurately. You don't need to be 'born with it.'
What is the minimum age for voice lessons?
We recommend starting voice lessons at age 7 or older. Younger children's vocal cords are still developing, and we want to protect their voice.
Can I sing the songs I want?
Absolutely. We build lessons around your favourite music while developing the technique you need to sing them well.
I've never had formal training. Is that okay?
Of course. Many of our voice students start with no experience. Your teacher will assess your natural abilities and build from there.
Can voice lessons help with auditions?
Absolutely. Our teachers prepare students for CEGEP, conservatory, and performance auditions. Technique, repertoire selection, and stage fright management are all part of the preparation.
