Why this instrument?

Accessible at Any Age

Guitar is one of the most approachable instruments. Its portability and versatility make it ideal for beginners of any age, and studies show musical training improves neural plasticity regardless of starting age.

White-Schwoch et al., Journal of Neuroscience, 2013

Proven Stress Relief

Playing guitar has been linked to reduced cortisol levels and lower heart rate. The combination of focused attention and rhythmic movement creates a meditative state that counteracts daily stress.

de Witte et al., University of Amsterdam, 2020

Strengthens Memory and Coordination

Guitar training requires simultaneous reading, finger coordination, and auditory processing. This multi-sensory engagement strengthens neural connections and improves both fine motor skills and working memory.

Herholz & Zatorre, Neuron, 2012

Frequently asked questions

Do I need my own guitar?
We recommend having a guitar for practice at home, but it's not required to start. We offer a rent-to-own program with no deposit.
Acoustic or electric — which should I start with?
Either one works. Your teacher will help you choose based on the music you want to play. Many students start acoustic and add electric later.
Can I learn to play specific songs?
Absolutely. We build lessons around the music you love while weaving in the technique and theory you need to progress.
At what age can children start guitar?
Children can start guitar as early as age 5-6. We have child-sized guitars available through our rental program.
Do you teach classical guitar?
Yes. We have teachers who specialize in classical guitar, including music reading, right-hand technique, and classical and Spanish repertoire.
