Why this instrument?

Builds Stronger Cognitive Skills

Piano engages both hands independently, training coordination, working memory, and divided attention. A landmark study found that pianists show enhanced executive function compared to non-musicians.

Vaquero et al., Frontiers in Psychology, 2016

Reduces Stress and Improves Mood

Playing piano has been shown to lower cortisol levels and reduce anxiety. Even 30 minutes of piano playing can produce measurable improvements in mood and stress biomarkers.

Toyoshima et al., Frontiers in Medicine, 2011

A Foundation for All Music

Piano is one of the best instruments for learning music theory, sight-reading, and harmony. Skills developed at the keyboard transfer directly to composition, arrangement, and understanding any other instrument.

Lehmann & Ericsson, Music Perception, 1996

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a piano at home to take lessons?
A keyboard or piano at home is strongly recommended for regular practice. We also offer a rent-to-own program with no deposit if you need an instrument.
What age can children start piano?
Private piano lessons start from age 5 (with a trial lesson to assess readiness) and from age 6 with no issue. From age 3, our Preschool Music group classes are the best way to start — they build ear training and rhythm before transitioning to an instrument.
I played piano years ago. Can I pick it back up?
Absolutely. Your teacher will assess your current level in the first lesson and build a plan from there. Most returning students are surprised by how quickly it comes back.
Do you prepare for RCM exams?
Yes. Several of our piano teachers specialize in Royal Conservatory exam preparation at all levels.
How much daily practice is recommended?
For beginners, 15 to 20 minutes a day is enough. Consistency matters more than duration. Your teacher will help you build a practice routine that fits your lifestyle.
